Badentarbat’s ‘machair’ loch is unique being shallow
with large areas of sandy bottom producing trout with
a lovely golden brown colour.

Close to the road with plenty of parking. Park in the large car park with the post box at the north end of the loch, over-looking Achnahaird Bay.

Wading essential but easy on the east side of the loch as it is very shallow. The north end and the west side may be fished from the bank.
