Following the sale of the Badentarbet estate in 2024 ownership has passed to the Coigach Community Development Company. The company was established by the community to address the challenges we face and to create opportunities for our young people.

The brown trout fishing on the estate is currently being managed by the Achiltibuie Angling Club which is run by volunteers. The club will manage and aim to improve the fishery, monitor the lochs and surrounding environment, and encourage younger members of the community to take up fishing. The club is not currently accepting new applications for membership.

The lochs are all unfenced and surrounded by common grazing land. Please be aware of livestock around the lochs and keep dogs under strict control at all times. None of the lochs are currently stocked and depend on a healthy ecosystem for their head of wild fish.

A leaflet with details of the fishery is available locally and will be provided with all permits purchased. This contains a map showing the lochs and suggested parking places for access.
